The Challenge

Wacky Salad, a unique microgreen concoction, faced the challenge of standing out in a competitive market where shelf visibility is crucial. With a goal to capture attention and convey the product's vibrant and playful nature, Finden Marketing was tasked with designing packaging that not only popped off the shelf but also communicated the freshness and uniqueness of Wacky Salad.

Why We Did It:

Understanding the importance of visual appeal in the food industry, Finden Marketing aimed to create a package design that not only attracted the consumer's eye but also effectively communicated the freshness and distinctiveness of Wacky Salad. The challenge was to strike a balance between creativity, clarity, and shelf impact to make Wacky Salad a memorable choice for consumers.

  2. Prioritized legible fonts and strategic placement of information to enhance consumer understanding.

 

Mock-ups and Testing:

  1. Created realistic mock-ups of the designed packaging to visualize its appearance on store shelves.
  2. Conducted consumer testing to gather feedback on the visual appeal and perceived freshness of the package design.

About the Branding

Wacky Salad needed to bring eyes on to their product. Standing out in a salad aisle can be difficult without separating yourself in some way. Bringing bright bold and fun colors, The Wacky Salad connects with it’s “Wacky” name.

Using the green of the peapods and the yellow of the sunflower, we can represent the product while also creating energy in color, then complimenting those colors with a deep purple and bright pink.

The typography is not uniform and brings playful angles to the designs. A salad that does not want or need to take itself too seriously, its good salad, make it fun!

Putting Fun into Salads

One of the main goals was to create something that would not only stand out, but would allow for additional materials and promotions to have the same fun and energetic feeling.
