WordPress + Elementor Quick Guide

How to Log In & Make Basic Edits

1. Logging Into Your Website

  1. Go to your website login page
    Example: INSERTYOURWEBSITEHERE.com/admin
  2. Enter your username and password
  3. Click Log In

You’ll now be in the WordPress dashboard.

2. Opening a Page to Edit

  1. In the left menu, click Pages
  2. Click on the page you want to edit (ex: Home, About, Services)
  3. Click the Edit with Elementor button

This opens the visual editor.

DO NOT CLICK “EDIT” ONLY CLICK “EDIT WITH ELEMENTOR”

3. Making Basic Edits in Elementor

Elementor lets you click directly on the page and edit.

To edit text:

  • Click on any text
  • Type directly to change it
  • Use the left panel to adjust size, color, alignment

To edit images:

  • Click the image
  • In the left panel, click Choose Image
  • Upload a new one or select from the library

To edit buttons:

  • Click the button
  • Change the text
  • Update the link (where it goes when clicked)

4. Moving Things Around

  • Hover over a section or element
  • Click and drag to move it
  • Blue lines show where it will be placed

5. Saving Your Changes

  • Click the pink Update button (top right)
  • Your changes are now live on the website

6. Previewing Before Publishing (Optional)

  • Click the eye icon (Preview)
  • Check how it looks before clicking Update

7. Common Tips

  • Keep text short and clear
  • Use high-quality images
  • Don’t delete sections unless you’re sure
  • If something looks off, you can undo with CTRL + Z

8. Logging Out

  • Go to the top left corner
  • Hover over your site name
  • Click Dashboard
  • Then click Log Out
